The name “Baekjeong” comes from the Korean word for ‘butcher,’ to mean that we only serve premium cuts and offer a dining experience that emphasizes the most essential and unique qualities of Korean barbeque.
Baekjeong was ranked as one of “101 best restaurants” by food critic Jonathan Gold and named as one of the “99 Essential Restaurants” in 2013 and 2016 by LA Weekly. In his glowing review of Baekjeong in the Los Angeles Times, Jonathan Gold writes, “The food, while simple, is of surprisingly high quality.” Partnering with Kang Ho-dong, a famous Korean Comedian and wrestler, 678 USA has opened Kang Ho-dong Baekjeong high trafficked locations like the center of K-town in Los Angeles and in New York City. Upon arrival, it was instantly loved by the locals and became a must stop destination for tourists. Customers can choose from a wide variety of premium beef and pork cuts, which will be cooked before your eyes on our signature tabletop grills.
